The annual wage of women is a 22.17% less than men. According to studies, women spend 26.5h in non paid work while men only sped 14h in those tasks.
In the retirement pensions, there is also a big difference:
According to studies, women recieve 740,2€ aprox. monthly, while men recieve 1162,3€.
In the domestic sphere, different roles can be associated depending on gender. For example, the woman’s role can be related to the family and the house, while the man’s role can be related to work and obtaining resources to support the family. These roles hinder women’s role in the workplace.
In politics, only 1.604 out of 8.228 town halls in Spain have a mayoress, this makes only a 19,5%.
At the Congress, 141 out of 350 people are women and in the Senate seats, from a total of 266 parlaiments there are only 98 women.
